WHAT AN OUTRAGE!
He had no new useful items for me to buy, instead only displaying the same shovel, watering can and fishing rod as he had been yesterday, and the rest of the stuff on display were all rubbish in my opinion. Well, naturally I gave him a cold hard stare, but thought it best not to say anything - he is in charge of my mortgage, after all. Once I had calmed down a bit, I bought the shovel, thinking it would be good to keep a spare just in case.I have begun a new hobby to keep me from going mad in this strange town - designing clothes! It's so much fun and doesn't cost a penny for Mable to put it on display. This means that, provided my designing is eye-catching and interesting, the animals will soon be wearing my very own work on their clothes! I find this very cool.
I am shocked by the amount of fossils I have found over the past few days. They are just everywhere! This town is an archaeological wonder. There seem to be new fossils every day, and I am sure they are sometimes in the same places I have dug before... Anyway, Blathers was very happy when I gave them to him to check out, as they were all parts of dinosaurs previously unseen by the museum. I was quite proud that it was me who found them all.
Fossils are not the only thing of interest lurking below the earth in Dera Noo though; I have managed to unearth about three strange ancient artifacts. They look like statues from some old civilization, and make odd noises, and even shift about when turned on. But they do not use any form of batteries, so I do not know how they make these sounds. All I do know is that if someone were to find out the way in which these things run, the economy would benefit greatly. As for the name of these curious relics? I shall call them - Gyroids.

Something strange has happened. I cannot think how, but I have lost my shovel. Well, I guess it is only lucky that I bought that spare, so I can continue digging up stuff after all. Yet this is not the strange thing; the fact I had my spare spade handy didn't prevent me from taking out my anger for losing the other one on my surroundings. I started smashing every rock in sight with my garden tool, and something amazing happened. Money just started spewing out of it. It was unclear to me how this was occurring, but I just kept on whacking it to see how much came out. In the end over 6,000 bells were lying around the rock, which I happily pocketed. Finders Keepers after all. I just wish I knew where my other shovel went...
I also find that bells often fall from trees when I shake them too. However, I have learned to be careful after I got chased by those rotten wasps. Now I am always prepared to run to the nearest house and pray the front door isn't locked. This usually isn't a problem, for the animals that live here are surprisingly (or foolishly?) trusting of their neighbours.
I paid a visit to the cafe in the museum at about 8pm, and was pleased to see Brewster had finally gotten some entertainment in. His name is KK. Slider, and he is a musician. I sat down and listened to him strum his guitar and sing in some language unknown to me. It was a catchy song indeed, and I was incredibly happy after it because he gave me a copy! Well, I rushed home straight away to add it to my collection.
I didn't actually notice when I left my home this morning, but somehow, the alterations to my house that I agreed with Nooky to have made are already in place! The first floor is a lot larger than before, giving me more space to put more furniture. Yippee!
I received a letter from Tank today. There was a present attached - some god-awful wallpaper which I immediately sold to Nooky. Just hope he does not pop round for a visit and notice this. It is interesting how much attention he is paying me lately, actually; Every time I see him when wandering about he will rush towards me and talk to me, and also if I catch a fish he always seems to be there, applauding me. It is more than a bit unnerving.

I have revisited the Able Sisters' shop to study there behaviour. Luckily, they did not seem to notice my entering, and so I was able to hide behind a rack of clothes and observe them with ease. What I found was interesting to say the least; I must have stayed in my hiding spot for over 4 hours, but not once did I witness them interact with each other! AT ALL! Sable just sat there, sewing and sewing, whilst her sister... Well, she didn't seem to be doing anything except walking around a bit. I think she was keeping a close eye on Sable, though. I will have to continue further investigation on this pair of 'hogs to find out the reason for this.
